What is God's plan to forgive us?

Becca asks:

What is God's plan to forgive us?
Denny answers:

God's plan is to forgive sinners who trust Jesus.

God has an amazing plan to forgive our sins (bad things we do). God knows everything, so He knew that we would sin. But He also always knew He would send His Son Jesus to earth. Jesus died to take the punishment we deserve for sin. Only Jesus could die for our sins - not our parents or our friends, because none of them lived perfectly like Jesus. Jesus died in our place so we could be forgiven, if we trust in Him. To learn about the path to forgiveness and Heaven - click here.

Bible Truth
  • "In Christ we are set free by the blood of his death, and so we have forgiveness of sins. How rich is God's grace" (Ephesians 1:7, NCV).

  • "[God] has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time" (2 Timothy 1:9).

  • "You know that in the past you were living in a worthless way, a way passed down from the people who lived before you. But you were saved from that useless life. You were bought, not with something that ruins like gold or silver, but with the precious blood of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb. Christ was chosen before the world was made, but he was shown to the world in these last times for your sake. Through Christ you believe in God, who raised Christ from the dead and gave him glory. So your faith and your hope are in God" (1 Peter 1:18-21, NCV).
