Does God hear everyone's prayers?

Justin asks:

How can God hear everyone's prayers at once?
Denny answers:

God has no limits!

God can hear everyone's prayers at the same time. He is omnipresent, which means all-present everywhere. We can never find a place where God is not present there and watching us. God is not like us–He knows everything, can do anything, and is everywhere at once.

He can answer the prayer from a girl in China while comforting you when you're sad. He listens to our praise in church, but He also watches how we act on the playground. God is with us wherever we go, so we can be sure that He is always watching and caring for us.

God knows our thoughts and prayers even before we say them, and He can easily hear everyone's prayers at the same time, even if they are in different languages and places. God is not far away, even though we cannot see Him. He is right here with us, like a friend standing beside. He listens to our prayers!

Bible Truth
  • "Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit" (Psalm 147:5).

  • "LORD, you have examined me and know all about me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them. You know where I go and where I lie down. You know everything I do. LORD, even before I say a word, you already know it. You are all around me - in front and in back - and have put your hand on me. Your knowledge is amazing to me; it is more than I can understand. Where can I go to get away from your Spirit? Where can I run from you? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I lie down in the grave, you are there. If I rise with the sun in the east and settle in the west beyond the sea, even there you would guide me. With your right hand you would hold me" (Psalm 139:1-10, NCV).

  • "Then hear their prayers from your home in heaven. Forgive and treat each person as he should be treated because you know what is in a person's heart. Only you know what is in people's hearts" (2 Chronicles 6:30, NCV).
