Yes, Jesus really was alive like us. He is not make-believe or pretend. Jesus left heaven and was born on this earth as a baby. We celebrate His birth at Christmas. The Bible stories we read about Jesus are true.
You should be excited and eager to learn all you can about Jesus. He is the only way to heaven! "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).
Bible Truth
- "We write you now about [Jesus] what has always existed, which we have heard, we have seen with our own eyes, we have looked at, and we have touched with our hands. We write to you about the Word that gives life. [Jesus] who gives life was shown to us. We saw him and can give proof about it. And now we announce to you that he has life that continues forever. He was with God the Father and was shown to us" (1 John 1:1-2, NCV).
- "I passed on to you what I received, of which this was most important: that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say; that he was buried and was raised to life on the third day as the Scriptures say; and that he was seen by Peter and then by the twelve apostles. After that, Jesus was seen by more than five hundred of the believers at the same time. Most of them are still living today, but some have died.
