Why is it wrong to do bad things?

Being bad displeases God.

God is holy. His perfect goodness is far above us. Being bad is wrong because we're disobeying and dishonoring God. God created us to honor Him and do right things, so being bad displeases God. He knows what's best for us, and doing bad things causes problems and makes us dirty inside.

We all need God to clean our hearts, forgiving us and giving us the desire to love and please Him. God's way to do this is through His own Son Jesus!

Bible Truth

• "All of us are dirty with sin. All the right things we have done are like filthy pieces of cloth. All of us are like dead leaves, and our sins, like the wind, have carried us away" (Isaiah 64:6).
  
  
• "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:23-24).



• "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:8-10).
