Will we get hungry in heaven? Will we eat in heaven?
Here's the answer:
We don’t know for sure!
Do you love eating? Maybe you love cheesy pizza or gooey chocolate chip cookies! Will your favorite foods be in heaven? The Bible doesn’t say whether we’ll be hungry in heaven, but it does mention that there will be food there.
In Revelation 22:1–2, the apostle John describes heaven to us: "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life. It was as clear as crystal. It flowed from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the middle of the city’s main street. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit. Its fruit was ripe every month..."
The Bible doesn’t say whether we’ll eat the food that grows on this tree, but we might! Can you imagine how tasty that fruit will be?
We don’t really know whether we’ll get hungry or if we’ll eat in heaven. The Bible doesn’t say for sure. We do know that heaven will be wonderful and we will be happy whether or not we eat. Heaven is filled with joy and happiness, and no one there will be disappointed.
"It is written, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has known what God has prepared for those who love him'" (1 Corinthians 2:9).
"Dear friends, now we are children of God. He still hasn’t let us know what we will be. But we know that when Christ appears, we will be like him. We will see him as he really is" (1 John 3:2).
