What is the Romans Road?

Here's the answer:

The Romans Road explains salvation using verses from the book of Romans.

The book of Romans clearly shows us the plan of salvation. It is:

Romans 3:23 – "Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory.” We have all made wrong choices. These wrong things are displeasing to God and are called sin. (Other verses: Romans 3:10; 5:12).

Romans 6:23 – "When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done." The punishment for our sin is eternity apart from God.

Romans 5:8 – "But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God has a plan to save us from the penalty of sin! He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins.

Romans 10:9 – "Say with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord.' Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Then you will be saved." Jesus, a man without sin, died on the cross in our place. He rescued us from sin. The plan of salvation is the good news that salvation is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1 – "We have been made right with God because of our faith. Now we have peace with him because of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Through Jesus, we can have peace with God. We are made right with Him.

Romans 8:1 – "Those who belong to Christ Jesus are no longer under God’s judgment."

Romans 8:38-39 – "I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can separate us. Not even the highest places or the lowest, or anything else in all creation can separate us. Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done."

If you want to follow the plan of salvation, you can pray a prayer like the one below. Praying can’t give you eternal life—only God can do that. God can save you by giving you faith in Jesus. The prayer is a way to show God that you’re turning in faith to Jesus.

"Dear God, I'm sorry for going my own way and sinning against You. I deserve to die for my sins and be separated forever from You. But I believe Your perfect Son, Jesus, took the punishment for sin by dying on the cross. Then He rose from the dead, showing that He won the victory over sin and death. I now turn from my sin and trust Jesus as my Savior from sin. I will follow the Lord Jesus now!"

Bible Truth

"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).
