What is true friendship according to the Bible?

Here's the answer:

True friendship according to the Bible is to lay down your life for your friends (John 15:13-15).

The Bible talks about friendship many times. Jesus tells us what true friendship is and what it means. In John 15:13-14, Jesus says, "No one has greater love than the one who gives their life for their friends. You are my friends if you do what I command." True friendship means you are willing to die for your friends. This is because you should love your friends and be kind to them.

David and Jonathan are a good example of true friendship in the Bible. Jonathan’s father, Saul, wanted to kill David. Saul tried to kill David many times, yet Jonathan continued to help and protect David. Even though Jonathan’s father wanted David dead, Jonathan stood by David’s side as a true friend (1 Samuel 20:11-17).

True friendships is based on trust. A true friend is someone you can go to anytime and know you won’t be judged or hurt by them. True friends support and help one another. You will have many opportunities to have true friendships throughout your life. It is also good to make sure you are a good friend to others and bring glory to God.
