How do we know God is real?
Here's the answer:
God is just as real as you and me! We have to have faith and believe that He is real, but we have lots of reasons to believe He is real.
God has created beautiful things that are impossible for people to make—the planets, the stars, the oceans, the mountains, the sky, animals, and people. It’s God who has made everything and who shows all people that some things are right and other things are wrong. Deep down in our hearts, we know that there has to be someone bigger than us who has been around before we were born and who will still be there after we die. This is God!
We also know God is real because He sent His Son, Jesus, to live on the earth as a man who never sinned. Jesus is also God. He died for our sins so we can believe in Him and be forgiven of all the bad things we ever did or will do. We know from Jesus that God is real, because Jesus told us about Himself (God the Son) and about His Father (God the Father) and about the Spirit (God the Holy Spirit). We can read all about God in the Bible.
"Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed'" (John 20:29).
"Without faith it isn’t possible to please God. Those who come to God must believe that he exists. And they must believe that he rewards those who look to him" (Hebrews 11:6).
"The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that his hands created them" (Psalm 19:1).
