Do angels get tired?
Here's the answer:
God created angels as powerful spirits, but only God has complete, limitless strength.
God created angels as spirit beings, so they do not have bodies like humans that get out of breath, get sick, grow old, or die. Angels can fly speedily, like the angel Gabriel flew quickly to Daniel (Daniel 9:21). They are strong, like the angel who rolled away the giant stone from the tomb Jesus had risen from (Matthew 28:1-6).
Angels never grow tired of doing one thing—worshipping God. Angels worship God day and night. They never get tired of praising God!
Even if angels don't get tired in the same way that humans get tired, that doesn't mean they're all-powerful. Only God is all-powerful. Angels are wise, but they don't know everything as God knows everything (Matthew 24:36). The Bible teaches that Jesus is far greater than the angels.
"In the inner circle, around the throne, were four living creatures ... day and night, they never stop saying, 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God who rules over all. He was, and he is, and he will come'" (Revelation 4:6b, 8b).
"So he became higher than the angels. The name he received is more excellent than theirs" (Hebrews 1:4).
"When the name of Jesus is spoken, everyone's knee will bow to worship him. Every knee in heaven and on earth and under the earth will bow to worship him" (Philippians 2:10).
