Is sex a sin?

Here's the answer:

Sex is part of God’s creation, which means it is a good thing.

In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus says, "...In the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female'... That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. The two will become one. They are no longer two, but one. So no one should separate what God has joined together." Jesus is saying that God created sex for a husband and wife. Sex is not sin.

Like many things in the world, sex can be sinful if done at the wrong time or with the wrong person. God designed sex to occur between a man and woman who are married to each other. Outside of marriage, sex is a sin.

There is never a right time for children to have sex. If an adult or another child touches you in your private parts or asks you to do something that makes you uncomfortable, you need to tell another adult. The person you tell may be your parent, your teacher at school, or someone in your church. It is important to tell someone so they can help you stay safe from harm.
