Can kids have a quiet time/daily devotions?

Here's the answer:

Yes, kids can have quiet time, also called daily devotions. God wants everyone to have quiet time with Him—no matter our age.

Quiet time or daily devotions are very important for all believers. You may have seen your parents have quiet time, but did you know you can too? God wants you to have quiet time with Him. Even Jesus took time to be alone with God (Matthew 26:36).

God just wants to be part of your day. Daily devotions help you learn more about God and that will strengthen your relationship with Him. Quiet time allows you the time to reflect on what you learned from your daily devotions.

Daily devotions are a good habit. Within your schedule, you should make time to read the Bible. You can have your parents or a teacher at your church help pick out a fun devotional book for you. Make sure to also include prayer in your daily time with God. You will grow closer to Jesus by participating in quiet time and daily devotions!

Bible Truth

"It was very early in the morning and still dark. Jesus got up and left the house. He went to a place where he could be alone. There he prayed" (Mark 1:35).

"But Jesus often went away to be by himself and pray" (Luke 5:16).

"God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
