Where was the garden of Eden?

Here's the answer:

We don't know for certain where the garden of Eden was located.

There are many different theories about where the garden of Eden was located. The only clue the Bible gives us is, “A river watered the garden. It flowed out of Eden. From there the river separated into four other rivers. The name of the first river is the Pishon. It winds through the whole land of Havilah. Gold is found there. The gold of that land is good. Onyx and sweet-smelling resin are also found there. The name of the second river is the Gihon. It winds through the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is the Tigris. It runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is called the Euphrates” (Genesis 2:10-14).

Since the Bible doesn't tell us, we cannot know with certainly where the garden of Eden was located. What we do know is that the garden of Eden was perfect. Man and woman lived with God and animals in perfect unity. There was no crying, pain, or death. Sinned had yet not entered the world. In the garden of Eden, there was the tree of life and the true of the knowledge of good and evil. God told Adam and Eve not to eat of this tree because they would die if they did.

Adam and Eve were tempted by the snake and ended up eating the forbidden fruit. Since they did this, they were exiled out of the garden of Eden. We don't know what happened to Eden and we don't know where it was formally located. We do know that one day God will create the New Heavens and New Earth. The New Heavens and New Earth with be perfect with no crying, pain, or death (Revelation 21:4).
