What does it mean to be a good witness for Jesus?

Here's the answer:

When we tell others about Jesus, we are a witness.

In court, a witness is someone who tells about what he saw or heard. Maybe he saw a car accident and can share with the judge about what happened. When we are a witness for Jesus, we can tell others about what Jesus said and did.

Sometimes we are a witness for Jesus even when we don’t speak. Other people watch how we live. That’s why it is important to honor God with how we live—when we’re honest, when we help others, and when we’re kind. If we’re mean and don’t honor God with our lives, it won’t mean much when we tell others about Jesus. It doesn’t do any good to tell others about Jesus if we live like we don’t care about Him.

A good witness for Jesus knows Him and understands the gospel. We can learn about Jesus by reading our Bible and learning from others at church.

If you want to be a good witness for Jesus, pray and ask God to help you live to honor Him. He will give you opportunities to be a good witness for Jesus!

Bible Truth

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Then you will tell people about me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria. And you will even tell other people about me from one end of the earth to the other" (Acts 1:8).

"Keeping this in mind, we never stop praying for you. Our God has chosen you. We pray that he will make you worthy of his choice. We pray he will make every good thing you want to do come true. We pray that he will do this by his power. We pray that he will make perfect all that you have done by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus will receive glory through what you have done. We also pray that you will receive glory through what he has done. We pray all these things in keeping with the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12).
