God created both humans and angels. He gave humans spirits and also bodies that we can touch and feel, but He made angels to be spirits only.
In the beginning, God gave Adam and Eve bodies that could live forever. But He warned them that if they disobeyed, they would die (Genesis 2:17). Because Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit, they had to die, and all humans after them have to die, too.
Your body will die one day, but the real you inside is a spirit God gave you that will live forever. Jesus said that if people die and go to heaven, “they can no longer die; for they are like the angels” (Luke 20:36a).
