Angels are spirit beings, so they don’t look like anything we know.

Angels are God’s helpers, messengers, and warriors. Usually, they do God’s work without anyone seeing or knowing. Bible stories tell about people who saw angels. Some people didn’t know they were seeing angels. This tells us that angels can change themselves to look like normal people. Other people knew they were seeing angels because they looked amazing, surrounded by light.

Some of the angels we read about in the Bible have wings. Some have clothes that are pure white and shine like lightning. We can’t know for sure what angels look like until heaven. Even though they’re beautiful, we should never worship angels. God created angels, and we should only worship God. He is even more glorious than angels!

Bible Truth

“All angels are spirits who serve. God sends them to serve those who will receive salvation” (Hebrews 1:14).

“I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. After I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel. He is the one who had been showing me these things. But he said to me, ‘Don’t do that! I serve God, just as you do. I am God’s servant, just like the other prophets and all who obey the words of this book. Worship God!’” (Revelation 22:8–9).
