God forgives all sins of those who trust in Jesus.
God sent His Son Jesus to earth as a man. Unlike everyone else, Jesus never did anything wrong. He never sinned. He was not only man but also perfect, holy God.
Jesus didn't deserve to die because death is the punishment for sinners. But Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment that we deserve for our sin. Jesus is the only way to have your sins forgiven. God will forgive anyone who turns from sin and trusts Jesus. Instead of seeing that person's sins, God chooses to see only Jesus' goodness.
Go back to:
- "Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God" (2 Corinthians 5:21, NCV).
- "Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And you are healed because of his wounds" (1 Peter 2:24, NCV).
- "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).
