How did God create people?

Becca asks:

How did God create people?
Denny answers:

God made man from dust.

In the Bible, God says He made the first person, Adam, out of the "dust of the ground" (Genesis 2:7). God had already made the earth and the dust out of nothing, and then He used dust to create Adam! God made Eve out of Adam's rib. God gave those two bodies human life. He created them to be like Him, with thoughts, emotions, and relationships with other people and with Himself.

We cannot understand exactly how God made people, just like we can't explain how He created the world by His Word. God is God! He is so powerful that He can just speak to make something happen. God still makes each of us just the way He wants us to be, so we should be thankful for how we look.

God made Adam and Eve perfect, without any sin. After Adam and Eve disobeyed God, we all have been sinners. Find out who God sent to solve the sin problem - click here!

Bible Truth
  • "The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being" (Genesis 2:7).

  • Read Genesis 1:26-3:24 for the full story of the creation and sin of man.

  • "So as one sin of Adam brought the punishment of death to all people, one good act that Christ did makes all people right with God. And that brings true life for all" (Romans 5:18, NCV).
