What does the Bible say about pain?
Here's the answer:

The Bible says pain is not enjoyable, but it is something that can teach us important truths.
The first time we see pain in the Bible is when God tells Adam and Eve that Eve will have pain in childbirth (Genesis 3:16). Adam and Eve had sinned against God and caused the fall of mankind, which resulted in the pain that was coming. As we can see, pain is the result of something we do wrong. God is trying to teach us something from the pain. Due to the sin of Adam and Eve, the entire world was cursed and would experience pain.
Since we live in a fallen world, there is pain. The Bible mentions pain over seventy times. While pain is not pleasant, it does help us. In the realm of spiritually, it helps us know that we need to correct sin in our life. Do you remember the last time you lied? You probably felt guilty about it, which caused you pain. The guilt and pain are there in order to turn you back to God.
In the same way, physical pain is a blessing. While this might sound odd, it is true. Pain tells us that something is wrong. Think about it—if your arm didn’t hurt when you broke it, you would never know it was broken. God has blessed us with being able to feel pain because it can prevent us from having more problems in the future.
Through pain, we can truly experience the goodness of God. Jesus died on the cross for us. This is the worst pain anyone could have ever experienced. Even though this was the worst pain in the world, Jesus suffered in order for us to have life. No matter what pain we experience in life, none of it can compare to what Jesus suffered for us. We can praise the Father that He has spared us from this same suffering.

Bible Truth
"Sin entered the world because one man sinned. And death came because of sin. Everyone sinned, so death came to all people" (Romans 5:12).
"My brothers and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy. Your faith will be tested. You know that when this happens it will produce in you the strength to continue" (James 1:2–3).
