Why doesn’t God zap all the bad people with lightening?
Here's the answer:
God loves the world so much that He sent Jesus to die for us, even the bad people.
God allows bad people to live because He loves them. He is giving them time to turn from their evil ways and turn to Him. That is patience.
Some day, their time will be up. Anyone who refuses to obey God and trust Him for salvation, will be punished in hell. God doesn’t want this to happen because He wants everyone to turn from their sin and come to Him.
For now though, God is patient and doesn’t zap all the bad people with lightening!
"The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. Instead, he is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins" (2 Peter 3:9).
