I like listening to comedians and watching comedy. Is that ok?
Here's the answer:

It is okay to enjoy comedy as long as the comedy is wholesome.
Sadly, many people think God is super serious and condemns all forms of fun. With this type of thinking, many people believe God doesn't like laughter. This ultimately means God doesn't like comedy. But this is not true because God is the One who enables us to enjoy things in this world.
Without God, we wouldn't be able to find joy in life, laugh, or have fun. In fact, there are many things within creation that point to God’s sense of humor. Some of these things include a penguin and a monkey. Penguins are birds, but they cannot fly, and monkeys do tons of silly things, from hanging upside down to making funny noises. There is much humor to be found in different aspects of creation!
With that being said, we need to be careful about what comedy we are consuming. Lots of comedies can be dark and inappropriate. As believers, we don't need to watch this type of comedy, as it only leads us away from God. We should watch comedy that is wholesome, right, and not evil. There is nothing wrong with watching comedy—it just needs to be honoring to God.

Bible Truth
"Fill my heart with joy when the people have lots of grain and fresh wine" (Psalm 4:7).
"Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things" (Philippians 4:8).
"There must not be any bad language or foolish talk or dirty jokes. They are out of place. Instead, you should give thanks" (Ephesians 5:4).
