What does it mean to trust God?

Here's the answer:

To trust God means that we believe God will do what He says He will do, even if it seems humanly impossible.

The dictionary defines the word trust as “to be confident.” It is important to trust God when our life turns upside down. Sometimes it seems impossible to trust God when someone in the family gets sick or we are failing a class in school, but we can choose to trust God when life is difficult. Throughout the Bible, we see many examples of people who trust God--Abraham, David, Jesus, and on and on. They trusted God no matter the challenge was.

The story of David and Goliath is an exciting story to read. But have you ever wondered why David was able to face the giant and defeat him? David was able to face the giant and defeat him because he trusted that God would help him. David defeated Goliath, a giant who was over nine feet tall, with a stone and a sling. David knew God was with him.

Jesus is the only person who never sinned, and He is the only person who could pay the punishment for the sins of people. The Bible says that If we believe that “…Christ died for our sins, just as Scripture said he would. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as Scripture said he would be” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) we will be saved. Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). Jesus is the only way for us to go to heaven, and only if we trust in Him by faith.

The most important way we can trust God is to trust Jesus for our salvation.
