Why does God let us get sick?

Here's the answer:

Sickness is the result of sin.

God created the world to be perfect, with no sin or sadness or sickness. But ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God (Genesis 3), sin has hurt the world. This sin is what makes us able to get sick. Everyone gets sick, even people who love God.

God wants you to take good care of the body He has given you. Make sure you're eating good foods, getting enough sleep, and keeping yourself clean. When you do get sick, you can pray and ask God to help you get better. It's not fun to be sick, but being sick reminds you that the world has a sin problem. Bible Truth

"[In heaven] He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sadness. There will be no more crying or pain. Things are no longer the way they used to be" (Revelation 21:4).

"Jesus answered them, 'Those who are healthy don't need a doctor. Sick people do. I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to turn away from their sins'" (Luke 5:31–32).
