What is sin?

Here's the answer:

The definition of sin is anything we say, think, or do that dishonors God. Any time we disobey God, we are sinning.

Every person has sinned in their life. Whenever you do something bad, you are sinning. Disobeying God is sin. Adam and Eve were the first people God created. They sinned against God by disobeying Him. Due to their sin, they were taken out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3). We inherit our sinful nature from Adam and Eve.

We have all freely chosen to sin. We cannot blame our sin on Adam and Eve. Have you ever done something bad? Maybe you lied or maybe you disobeyed your parents. Anytime you do something bad, it is sin. God does not want us to live a life of sin.

The definition of sin is the bad things we do. Sadly, we will continue to sin until we are with Christ. The sins we commit separate us from God. However, God has given us a way to be made into a right relationship with Him despite our sins. Our sins can be forgiven if we believe in Jesus (John 3:16-17). Isn’t it wonderful to know that God can forgive your sins if you ask Him!
